Why We Chose Liquid Extracts
Share
A mushroom contains many different parts: water, fibre, structural material, and naturally occurring compounds. An extract is one way of working with those compounds by processing the mushroom into a more concentrated liquid form.
The result is different from simply eating the whole mushroom. Instead of the mushroom in its original form, you are taking a prepared extract in a bottle.
🍄 Why A Dropper And Not A Capsule
Capsules usually contain a dried mushroom powder or extract inside a shell. A liquid extract takes a different approach: the extract is already in liquid form, ready to measure with a dropper.
There is also something very direct about taking a liquid extract. You can see it in the bottle, measure it yourself, and take it directly or add it to a drink.
And you taste the mushroom.
Chaga has a deep, earthy character. Reishi is more pronounced, with a naturally bitter taste. Those flavours are part of the mushroom itself and something you notice immediately with a liquid extract.
The daily amount is simple too: three full droppers, or 3 mL, once a day.
🌳 How It Fits Into A Morning
Straight from the dropper, or mixed into water, tea, or coffee.
It takes a few seconds and can easily become part of something you already do in the morning. That simplicity is one of the reasons we chose a liquid format.
A bottle on the kitchen counter. Three full droppers. Then you're ready to get on with your day.
🌲 The Trade-Off
Liquid isn't easier in every way.
Once opened, the bottle needs to be kept refrigerated and used within 45 days. It also isn't quite as convenient to throw into a bag and forget about it compared with a small container of capsules.
We chose the liquid format anyway.
Because for us, the bottle is part of the experience. You see the extract, measure it yourself, taste the mushroom, and make it part of a simple daily ritual.
No capsule shell. No complicated routine.
Just the mushroom, in liquid form.
