🍄 Wat het eigenlijk is
Deep Work pairs Lion's Mane with Cordyceps. Two mushrooms from very different environments, brought together in one bundle.
Lion's Mane grows on damaged and dying hardwood across Europe, Asia, and North America. Its white fruiting body is covered in long hanging spines. Cordyceps is a very different story. The wild species grows high on the Tibetan Plateau and Himalayas and has one of the strangest life cycles in the fungal world.
The two also have different histories. Lion's Mane has been eaten as food in East Asia for centuries and is known as Houtougu in China and Yamabushitake in Japan. Cordyceps has a long history in the regions where it grows and is now also produced through controlled cultivation.
Valdspore combines the two in a simple daily bundle. One bottle of Lion's Mane and one bottle of Cordyceps, each with 100 ml of liquid extract.
🌳 Waarom juist deze twee?
The idea behind Deep Work is not that the two mushrooms do the same thing. They are simply two very different extracts that make sense beside each other for a certain kind of day.
Lion's Mane is a mushroom people often encounter in the context of reading, writing, studying, research and creative work. It is one of the more extensively studied functional mushrooms and contains compounds including hericenones, erinacines and beta-glucans.
Cordyceps comes from a completely different place. Its wild form develops in association with moth larvae high in the mountains, while commercial strains are cultivated under controlled conditions. Valdspore uses Cordyceps sinensis CS-4.
That makes the pairing quite straightforward. One mushroom associated with long stretches at the desk. Another with a long history and very different place in the fungal world.

☘️ Hoe gebruik je het?
Take 3 mL per day of each extract, equal to three full droppers of Lion's Mane and three full droppers of Cordyceps.
The extracts can be taken directly or mixed into a drink. The two bottles each contain 100 ml, giving approximately 33 days of use at the stated daily amount.
